|
|
Some years ago a shop near to my home made a nice game called MAGIC-WAR just like the WAR board game...
They put a "Dominia World map" divided by lots of pieces with diferent colors (one of five magic colors) every player that sign-up the game choose a few of the free and put a pin with his nick on it, when all the board have players the game starts, so when you whant to atack a player in the border of one piece that you have you mark his piece with a invite to battle and he have a time to beat you (and win your piece of ground) or lost his piece .
Does someone else played something like this ? I will love to play it by internet (Mabye with a macromedia-flash acting like the board/world-map ? ) _________________ Visit right now my resource site and get some cool stuf !!! http://sites.uol.com.br/joeramone |

wow this is a great idea! its like Shandalar to a degree combined with Risk! The cool part is, if you get good and take alot of ground, lots of ppl will attack you and you get swamped with games to play, lol, so you have to form some alliances, etc.. strategy.. fun fun! Forget ladders, this is the bomb! And there better be a HUGE prize for whoever can win all the spaces! |

The game I played was run several years ago... 1996 I think... when The Dark was released but I will try to remember some datails.
32 Pieces of ground / 8 players 4 grounds for each player
6 grounds of each color and 2 gold
The distribuition of the ground pieces was made with a deck of basic lands with the name of each piece of ground writen on it, each player draws a card then the next player draw anoter card until all the deck over and the players keepls the land cards with he to prove the grounds he have control and then they mark the board/world map (placed in a wall) with pins and a piece of paper with the player's nickname.
(The land card with the name of the ground have a signature of the shop ower and a shop logo stomp placed in the card back to prevent it to be played/ faked )
Once the distribuition of the grounds was done the game itself starts,
The basic rules:
-You can only use colors of the grounds you have to atack a player (I take a Swamp/Swamp/Forest/Plain so I can play only B/W B/G G/W or G/B/W decks)
-The games takes place in the shop only (it can be a IRC chanel anyway)
-You can chalenge players in any day if you meet the oponent in the shop
-The Fridays/Saturdays/ are "chalenge" days you may chalenge a oponent even if he is not in the shop by placing a pin with your name on his ground piece that you want if the oponent does not respond your chalenge in 48 hours he loses the ground.
-when you loose a ground you must give the land card of that ground to the winner.
-You cannot make more than 3 chalenges at the same time.
The prizes was given to the first player that takes 10 grounds in his control and then to the first to take 20 and a big prize to the one that gets all the 32 lands and over the game.
Thats all i can remember now, if I remember something else I will edit this post with the info.
If someone knows a way to make something like this online please post here i think that it can be really Fun !!! _________________ Visit right now my resource site and get some cool stuf !!! http://sites.uol.com.br/joeramone |
