I know I'm not all that great with Apprentice first off. I played in a tourny today in magic-league. First round came up and we started playing normally, I kind of got the hang of Apprentice after about 5~8 turns (with little mistakes like moving the cards etc.) And the dude got on my case about it, but I let it slide and apologized.
Anyway, round two comes up and He's winning 1-0. We start playing normal, and I kept making those little mistakes, and he was getting really anal about it, so I said "Ok, fine, damn baby." And we didn't talk the rest of the round, it came down to me being at 2~5 life and I pull out some card (forgot now) and he counters it unless I pay 1 for each 'fact he controlled. (which was 4~6) I paid it and he says well I've already won and just left. -- I got banned for not switching my name fast enough.
Then he tells me in a message that "you're a sloppy mtg player, you should never play again" (something along those lines.) Well, I couldn't let that stand Naturally I responded to him and he goes on about how my rating is low (I know it's low.) and all this crap.
Sidenote: I know my rating is low, really low. (around 1470's) I could care less about how low my rating is, and he bases my mtg playability on that. My online rating is like going to buy a new jacket. I'm not going to spend days and days looking around for one, and when I do buy one, if it turns out pretty good in the long run, hey all the better; if it doesn't however, I'm not going to get 'blah' about it; after all, it's just a jacket.
He goes on to say that he doesn't even play real life magic and that I'm such a bad mtg player etc. I told him that all the cards I play with I can guarentee I have in my box o' cards. He doesn't really say much after that, then I tell him that at least I don't play netdecks (which he was) and then he continues the "you suck at mtg" bashing and then just puts me on ignore.
He as the audacity to tell me my skill in playing mtg is sloppy... What the F.. (I don't think I'm allowed to curse on here am I? :p ) He just copied some other person's deck and played it as his own. That doesn't take much skill.
Now for my rating, I know it's low, it'll probably get lower in the next few days too for playing 4+ tournies today, and losing in every single one of them. It's not that I'm a bad player for losing in league games/tourny games. People play better in tourny and league, I wasn't even expecting to win. I only play online to test out my decks I made in real life. And I know people will play better in league/tourny so I challenge them to play instead of the people who want to just play casually. Hence, why my rating is in the 1400's and not around 1800's.
How many people can say they actually have a Burning Desire (tendrils) deck? I know I can opt for about 87% of that deck, I do have most of those cards. Playing online isn't the best way to show your "skill" in the game in the first place. I've been to T1 Tournies when I was younger. How many people have Moxes? A Black Lotus? Mana Crypt? Not many. Yet almost anyone that plays T1 online plays the deck. Only maybe 30~100 people in the WORLD have all the cards to make the deck, even I don't have all the cards.
How many people can say they have a foil (6th edtion) Birds of Paradise? I have one from playing blind ante (shuffle eachothers decks and remove a card from the middle without looking at it. Winner takes both cards.) I almost lost my ancestral recall (unlimited) for it. (Hehe, I just won it last night )
Well, I digress; but I think you get my point? Just because I play crappy vs people online, (because they can make the best of the best deck, or copy one off a site) doesn't mean in real life mtg I suck. He didn't have any right to say I was a bad player. Shame on him.
Anyway, thanks to every/anyone reading the rant. :p

Moved from support forum, I figured it wasn't appropriate there. _________________

Hehe, you better be careful with that card. It must be the most expensive card in Magic, since you have the only one in existance (the first foil BoP was in 7th and the only other one is in 8th).

Really? I think there are more then just 1... And it isn't in great condition either :p (Back and corners are all scratched up from lots of play. I don't mind though, I just put them in sleeves.)
EDIT:
It's 7th edition lol. (I Thought it was 6th) my friend I won it from told me it was 7th just now.
Dang I thought I was rich Oh well, I think the going price for a 7th ed one is like $80? My recall is worth more I think. :\
I quit playing after Anthologies came out, so I never saw 6th edition. :\ - Just started back again a month ago
My friend said I was stupid to think it was 6th edition too And then he gave me a lengthy chat about how there is only like 1~2 foil 6th editions or something, I wasn't paying attention :p
Anyway, glad you caught that (I asked my friend after I read your reply hehe) _________________
