In this topic you may post a link to your mwTheme files.
I already found a good mwTheme, which includes official Magic card borders and expansion symbols.
You can find this Theme and many more resources at

Can someone make a theme with only the old cards using old borders --
and new 8th edition (and after) cards having the NEW borders? This would be great.
And another suggestion that I have made earlier: FOIL BORDERS They should be rare (when booster drafting/limited format) but I should be able to build a FOIL ONLY deck. Different foil scans for a particular border color (like red has 3 different foil scans, blue has 3 different foil scans, etc.) _________________ "Only the dead have seen the end of war." - Plato |

Very good! But I have one suggestion:
Before compiling theme file delete "Thumbs.db" from each theme directory - it will decreased file size up to 360 KB |

they are hidden files...
you have to enable this option in Windows Explorer... once done you can see them...
these files are automatically generated by winXp when previewing images in directories...
but it's sounds strange to me that the compiler actually includes files not specified in .txt file... how does this program works exactly??? _________________ "It can't rain all the time..." |

I have made a foils version to the Magic theme, it is still a work in progress, let me know what you think of it.
http://magicworkstation.homestead.com/files/foils_theme.zip
I still need to work on the lands, I havent put the Mana symbol on them yet.
If anyone makes any changes to this theme, send me your edited version back to me, so I can get this theme completed and put it on my website. |

Boy, it is really nice to see that my Decks page looks a lot like there Theme Decks page.
I guess they couldn't find any other Magic website to get those decks from. But did they have to use the same page layout that I have on my site.
This is just my thoughts about this. |

Ok I finished the Foils theme, and it now includes the Foil lands with mana symbols.
http://magicworkstation.homestead.com/files/foils_theme.zip
I also found out you can you use a blank.gif (transparent pic) for expansions that dont have an icon like Alpha through 5th Edition.
The theme.txt would look like this
Code: | SetIcon.A.C = "SetIcons\blank.gif"
SetIcon.A.R = "SetIcons\blank.gif"
SetIcon.A.U = "SetIcons\blank.gif"
|
So this way the Letter A or B would not show up when you view the card.
Here is an example

yes... this is true... this will grant complete equivalence between MWS and real Magic cards' aspect...
On the other hand, colored set symbols are very usefull to establish cards' rarity... i'm planning to create a symbol for those expansions that doesn't have it and to add colored expansions set to expansions that had only a black one...
stay tuned... as always... (I know I'm really slow, but I've a lot of things to take care!) _________________ "It can't rain all the time..." |

Ricardo: Great job on the themes. I love how Alpha, Beta, etc., don't have symbols and how the new ones do. It's also very realistic that the rare colors (R, U, C) only show up on the newer sets.
May I make a few suggestions?
1.) When 8th Edition comes out, have the old cards STAY the same, but the newer cards use the 8th Edition borders (WITH FOILS).
2.) I don't like the fact that I can only choose foil or no-foil. Can you make it so it's choosable, so I can build a deck with foil/nofoil cards? This is especially cool in SealedLimited.
3.) Make the back of the Magic card brighter, so it'll look better. Also, the white borders look especially dark -- they need to be increased in contrast.
4.) Decrease the size of the fonts -- in real life, the Magic cards have smaller font.
5.) Add flavor text.
6.) Use the right Magic font (in 8th Edition, the font changes).
7.) Random foils. For example, there are many versions of foils of a single color. Like red has different shades of foils. This is NOT important, but will be very realistic -- like MTGO.
8.) Token borders (with foils)!
9.) During PLAY-MODE, change the background. I prefer the new BLUE background over the green one... OR, you can make it so we can edit it. I'd like variety. If you can't do this, simply use the blue one if you can.
10.) The very old basic lands do not use big mana symbols like right now -- they use tap symbols, etc.
11.) Some land borders and token borders have different colors. For example, Brushland has a land that uses half white and half green borders. These are not implemented. _________________ "Only the dead have seen the end of war." - Plato
