Thanx for the response everyone.... I know AI would be a very large Project, But the folks at Micropose did it and did an ok job at it. However there are alot of new card rules I was looking at (Double strike??-Morph??)
I am not Down on Magic Workstation, and I know that asking for mana being kept track of is just a bell and whistle (not needed for serious magic players) I understand its not the original intent of the Program and things like AI along with the other future features are on a things to do list.
I was just interested in the direction that the project was going, I would support something now for something great in the future. Like I said, alot of developers promise things that never make the light of day and still want money for there program. That does not mean its not worth what it cost now, but for me (36 years old and collecting when magic first hit the shelves) computer AI would be alot of fun. I gave up on the game once and it's sparked my interest again with Magic Workstation and the list of (FUTURE) features that may be added.
I did not mean for this post to be as long and I think I may have worded things better for some and others may have missed the point of my intent, However the post did do what a post in any forum wants to achieve and thats spark interest, and get different oppinions. It gives us something to do and use our minds allowing others to view our Ideas right or wrong...........
Now I am going to try to find what was ment in brainwad's post and find the programs He mentioned.... _________________ omnix32 |

Hmm... My opinion - disgustingly.
"Magic the Gathering: Battlegrounds" - isn't card game. This is like 3D/arcade/action without use MTG rules and cards. You only see known "Goblin Hero", "Raging Goblin" and etc as 3D monsters of this game.
If you want play any 3D game like MTG cards, use "Etherlords II" instead "Magic the Gathering: Battlegrounds". |

It does use rules from the cards, just not the same way. It is an interesting twist to the game, but nothing like the card game in a lot of ways. |
